Happy New Year!
I wanted to try to keep the theme of portraits from the Project 365 going at least for January 1st.
This latest addition was taken a couple hours after midnight struck and brought in 2012.
It was taken under different lighting conditions than the previous two, hence the different coloring.
I still have a hard time believing that I got through my Project 365. I sometimes think about doing another similar project but then i remember just how long a year is!
However, in 2012 I really need to pick up the camera more. That's just a fact.
Casey, Lindsay, and I rung in the New Year together at Hershey's New Year's Eve show headlined by none other than We The Kings!
Before we left we experimented with "hair chalking." I striped mine with a dark blue and a maroon color. It was surprising how well it worked (even though I came home with a blue chalk shadow on my jaw).
At midnight they dropped a Hershey's Kiss in the square and launched fireworks. I'm so accustomed to boring-stay-at-home-lame-New-Year's-Eve's that this was a refreshing change of pace. It was awesome to ring in 2012 after having sang and screamed and danced to one of my favorite bands with good friends by my side.
I hope this is a good indicator of the year to come.
Good music, good friends, good times.
